Global Solutions Program
Three People’s Projects, one coordinated plan
These projects are “people’s” projects because the problem and its solution affect everyone, and because solving it well needs broad expertise, not only institutional research papers.
Project 1: National plans that add up
Goal: Halt net CO₂ release and adapt to unavoidable climate impacts.
National teams in each country identify and evaluate available options, then combine the best practical mix into a national action plan. Those plans are aggregated regionally, then globally, so the sum can be checked against real physical goals.
- Reduce net CO₂ emissions
- Adapt to impacts that cannot be avoided
- Evaluate options with shared criteria
- Build national → regional → global action plans
Project 2: Stabilize Earth’s energy balance
Goal: Bring incoming and outgoing energy into balance, then adjust toward conditions civilization was built on, while addressing related problems such as methane and ocean acidification.
International teams focus on options that cut across borders, evaluating them with the same criteria as Project 1 so results can feed back into national plans.
- Stabilize Earth’s energy balance
- Adjust toward prior climatic conditions
- Address methane and ocean acidification
Project 3: Monitor, model, and prioritize R&D
Goal: Provide climate monitoring, engineering models, and fair comparison of emerging technologies so nations can choose options with the greatest practical benefit.
Climate Monitor, the interactive globe, is the public evidence face of this project today. Full engineering models, Solutions Library scoring, and scenario tools are later phases.
- Climate monitoring and transparent trends
- Engineering models for option evaluation
- R&D and technology comparison
- Prioritization that feeds Projects 1 and 2
Shared evaluation lens
Across all three projects, options are weighed for technical feasibility, environmental impact, scale, timing, full-scale cost, economic supportability, and social and political acceptability.
