Open Letter (August 2024 publish date)

Our Open Letter, to be sent in late July, is addressed to Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, and to John Podesta, United States Climate Diplomat.

The letter will be updated every Monday to include all signatories to-date, and endorsers to-date. As of mid-day April 29, the letter had 49 signatories from all six regions of our planet (Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, South America).

The next update on May 5 will include endorsements in addition to signatories. If you hesitate to put your signature on the letter, you can provide your endorsement. In the April 29 updated letter, there is a placeholder for endorsements (yellow-highlighted).

With your signature or endorsement, you will help us convince humanity's leaders of the momentous significance of Global Solutions and Outreach Programs (GSOP) in resolving global warming. GSOP addresses a critical gap that must not be ignored.

The integrated-systems analyses proposed by Global Solutions and Outreach Programs (GSOP) is humanity's best chance of resolving global warming. Without the GSOP analyses, humanity is rolling dice at the casino.

Open Letter Action Plan

  1. Complete multiple reach outs to several thousands now working to resolve global warming and climate change, to encourage them to sign the Open Letter (through end of July)

  2. Complete research to find reporters, journalists, and editors of publications worldwide. (mid June)

  3. Do the research into how we reach out to very prominent people (end of July):

    • Those at the Bill Gates level, in society, industry, government, and philanthropy.

    • The Climate Action Organization (CAO) team will be very helpful, as many CAOs may have connections with such people.

  4. Reach out to publications to request that they run our Open Letter. (Open Letter action team; mid July)

    • From these engagements, determine the best day to publish the Open Letter.

    • Get commitment from publications to publish the Open Letter on that date.

  5. Send the Open Letter to Antonio Guterres and John Podesta, advising them that we will publish the letter in dozens of publications worldwide. (end of July)
