Open Letter (August 2024 publish date)

Our Open Letter, to be sent in late July, is addressed to Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, and to John Podesta, United States Climate Diplomat.

The integrated-systems analyses proposed by Global Solutions and Outreach Programs (GSOP) is humanity's best chance of resolving global warming. Without the GSOP analyses, humanity is rolling dice at the casino.

WE NEED YOUR ENDORSEMENT

With your endorsement, you will help us convince humanity's leaders of the momentous significance of Global Solutions and Outreach Programs (GSOP) in resolving global warming. GSOP addresses a critical gap that must not be ignored.

You may endorse our GSOP Open Letter with or without your signature. If you are hesitant to put your signature on the letter, which will be widely publicized, you can provide your endorsement without signature.

To endorse our Open Letter with your signature

Provide your signature as an image file, along with one line of information, and country of residence. One signatory struggled to figure out how to do the image file, so here's a simple way of getting us your signature: (1) sign your name on a sheet of white paper, (2) take a pic of it, and (3) email it to us. For an example, see GSOP co-founder Tom Rehm's signature on the back of an envelope.

In your one-liner, we encourage you to provide an affiliation, and a hyperlink to the affiliation or to your professional profile such as LinkedIn. Send your signature, one line of information, and country of residence to Balaji Ramarao at balajimr84@gmail.com.

Open Letter Action Plan

  1. Complete multiple reach outs to several thousands now working to resolve global warming and climate change, to encourage them to sign the Open Letter (through end of July)

  2. Complete research to find reporters, journalists, and editors of publications worldwide. (mid June)

  3. Do the research into how we reach out to very prominent people (end of July):

    • Those at the Bill Gates level, in society, industry, government, and philanthropy.

    • The Climate Action Organization (CAO) team will be very helpful, as many CAOs may have connections with such people.

  4. Reach out to publications to request that they run our Open Letter. (Open Letter action team; mid July)

    • From these engagements, determine the best day to publish the Open Letter.

    • Get commitment from publications to publish the Open Letter on that date.

  5. Send the Open Letter to Antonio Guterres and John Podesta, advising them that we will publish the letter in dozens of publications worldwide. (end of July)
